I have loved having this swing for my toddlers. We bought it for my son's first birthday, and he is now two-and-a-half. His younger brother started swinging in it when he was about 6 months old (but very slow and low). When my son got this at a year old, he weighed 20 pounds and was about 30 inches tall. He did fine in it. I love the T-bar because I think it helps the kids feel more safe in it, as well as keeps them from sliding out of the swing. We've kept the swing outside and the only "weathering" it has is bird doo-doo in the seat. We live in a very hot and dry climate, so I don't know how the ropes would do in a very wet climate. My kids have had a lot of fun in this swing, and I highly recommend it!
