I bought this crib soother because, for the price, it has many more features than a typical crib soother. The soft colored lights are very soothing, as is the gentle melody. A unique feature is the recording option parents can use to record a personal message or a favorite lullaby. I also love that the soother can be set to be sound activated. I use this feature all the time when trying to put my son down to sleep. I don't use this soother in his crib exclusively, but also use the music and lights when rocking him, holding him, etc. when trying to put him to sleep. After a overnight feeding it works well to get him back to sleep. He is too young to manipulate the spinning smiley, or the spiral, but I can see him enjoying those features as he grows a bit older. Overall, from my experience I would recommend this soother. It works better than other crib soothers from my experience.
