I bought this for my one year old when traveling on a plane to Europe. I was able to suction it to the serving tray as well as the plastic section of the seat in front of me (no I was not so lucky to get the bulk head) I did not give this to my child until he got bored on the plane so it was not only new, but colorful with moving parts. When I suctioned it to the seat in front of me (on a vertical surface) it was extra fascinating although not to the person sitting in front of me since my child kept on hitting the toy to make it move so I quickly removed it (no need for annoyed fellow passengers on a 10 hour flight). This toy was also useful in restaurants where I could suction it to the tray of my portable booster seat (mini high chair).

Removed from the base, it becomes a multi-faceted rattle. Clean suction cup base and wet before applying. Wash with a damp cloth. Do not immerse in water.
